General Dentistry

ASMC offers you a range of dental services that primarily focus on preventive and restorative care. We recommend regular dental check-ups to prevent plaque build, cavity, tooth decay, and latent gum problems. Our Dentist will also advise to keep your teeth healthy until your next dental visit.

> Our New Patient Exam

Getting to know you and your dental goals, we will review your oral health includes a visual examination, charting, periodontal probing, diagnosis and treatment recommendations. We will also take digital X-ray for proper diagnosis for your goals of your health and smile with you.

> Regular check-ups

We recommend regular check-ups at least twice a year to keep track of your oral health. Both natural teeth and teeth with restorations survive best in an oral environment that is clean and where proper oral hygiene is maintained. Our dentist inspects your teeth and gums and identifies potential dental problems, which could lead to tooth decay or periodontal disease.

> Diagnostic and/or Full-Mouth X-rays

Dental x-rays are pictures of the teeth, bones, and soft tissues around them to help find problems with the teeth, mouth, and jaw. It can show cavities, hidden structures as wisdom teeth, and bone loss that cannot be seen during a visual examination. A full-mouth series of OPG x-rays are most often done during a person’s first visit to the dentist.

> Teeth Cleaning

We advise you to have your teeth cleaned once in six months to avoid bigger dental problems like gingivitis and tooth decay. We perform a thorough cleaning and polishing using ultrasonic equipment to ensure your mouth is germ-free and plaque-free.

> Dental Fillings

Traditional dental restoratives, or fillings, include gold, amalgam, porcelain, and composite. With the advent of the newest technologies in dental science, today's state-of-the-art restorative materials include ceramic and the latest composite materials. These materials are not only strong and durable, but restore the look of natural teeth and are very aesthetically pleasing.

> Inlays / Onlays

Inlays / onlays are used to repair tooth damage caused by decay leaving the patient with a natural look. An alternative to dental fillings, inlays / onlays can also be used if teeth surfaces are damaged but the damage is not extensive enough to require a dental crown.

> Root Canals

Root canal therapy is needed when the nerve of a tooth is affected by decay or infection. Symptoms of the infection are generally acute dental pain or sensitivity to hot, cold or percussion. If you experience any of these symptoms, your dentist will most likely recommend root canal therapy to eliminate the diseased pulp. This injured pulp is removed and the root canal system is thoroughly cleaned and sealed.

> Extractions

Sometimes, unfortunately we are unable to save a tooth. It may have become too decayed, fractured, damaged through trauma or an accident, the gum disease may be too advanced, troublesome wisdom teeth or to make room for orthodontic treatment.

> Wisdom Tooth Surgery

The wisdom tooth actually refers to your third molars. Everyone has a natural complement of 32 adult teeth in their lifetime. The third molar will be the last adult tooth to erupt and it normally surfaces around 18-21 year of age.
